As part of the project, Ashfield District Council, local heritage and parks friends groups will be holding a free
“Local Memories” drop-in event for the public at the Sutton-in-Ashfield Sailing Club at Kings Mill Reservoir, 11am – 3pm on Saturday 7th October.
There will be displays of old photographs of three sites and a friendly welcome with tea and coffee available for anyone who would like to pop in for 5 minutes during their visit to the reservoir. We would be delighted if visitors would like to bring their own photos of the Kings Mill Reservoir, Sutton Lawn and Hermitage Ponds to show us or share their memories of the sites. We would also like to ask their opinions on the suggested activities for the project.
Please be aware that there is no parking at the sailing club and that the main reservoir car park may be busy at times. The sailing club address is
