Step by Step project
The Step by Step project provides a wide-range of activities for people throughout Ashfield. Our current activities include wellbeing groups, our fishing project, the music group, or you can try out your green fingers through our gardening group or allotment.
Angling Group v7
Ashfield Voluntary Action has its very own allotment. Everyone is welcome, so come along to meet like-minded adults and make new friends – all abilities are welcome and you even get to take home what you grow!
We provide a comfortable, relaxed and welcoming space where you can come along and try your hand at a wide range of activities; from gardening, to crafts, music and fishing. We have also run sessions which focus on preparing healthy meals on a budget, willow weaving and art therapy. The project focuses on matching our activities to your interests. So the activities we put on come from you.

Music Group 2018 v4
Ashfield Voluntary Action has been given Big Lottery funding, to deliver the Step by Step mental health project in the district of Ashfield.
We hold weekly well-being groups that provide a space for adults to meet and receive support in a non-judgmental environment. The well-being groups also provide activities which aim to improve self-care, mental and physical well-being.
