Although the UK Government has taken some steps to ease the level of lockdown, the current position on visitors at our local hospitals including King's Mill is unchanged. Sherwood Forest Hospital Trust has made the following statement:
Please note that we are doing everything that we can to protect patients, staff and the community against Coronavirus.
NO VISITORS ARE BEING ALLOWED IN ANY OF OUR HOSPITALS
However:
If you visit our Emergency Department, Emergency Assessment Unit or if you come in for an Outpatient appointment, please only bring one person to accompany you. Children under the age of 16 will not be allowed in these areas.
At the moment, GP Surgeries are trying to reduce the risk of Coronavirus spreading by having telephone consultations with patients wherever possible. This will mean that your GP or other healthcare professional will probably talk to you over the phone (or videocall) rather than see you face-to-face. They may decide that they need to see you, or you may have to attend the Surgery for a blood test, for example, but they are trying to cut down the number of patients visiting the Surgery wherever possible. If you do have to go into the Surgery every precaution is taken to reduce risk to you and to surgery staff. Hand sanitizers are available and PPE is worn as necessary. Ring your Surgery or check out their website if you have any questions.
Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is the part of the NHS which plans and pays for services. They have been issuing regular bulletins to patients and the public to update them. This bumper edition includes a wealth of features:
