Next week is Trustees Week

Trustees' Week is from the 2nd to the 6th November and recognises the fantastic contribution Trustees make to their local community.

Trustees are the people in charge of a charity and help to make the UK the sixth most giving country in the world.

Trustees play a vital role, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about the work of charities. These charities usually either benefit people in the local area, or communities of need. One example would be a charity which benefitted people living with a particular illness.

Trustees’ Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that Trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from many different backgrounds to get involved and make a difference.

Trustees give freely of their time, committing their expertise, skills and knowledge to benefit their local community. They come from all walks of life and use their passion to the community to make real and positive change to the lives of many.

If you would like to find out more about becoming a Trustee, or volunteering in general, please contact Ashfield Voluntary Action on 01623 555 551 or email us at info@ashfieldvoluntaryaction.org.uk
