Covid-19 vaccination now open to people aged 60 and over

On Tuesday morning (March 2) at 9am the local covid-19 vaccination booking system will open to residents aged 60 and over.

From 9am people aged 60 and over will be able to book their Covid-19 vaccination appointment by visiting the local BOOKING LINK or by calling the local booking line on 0115 883 4640 between 8am – 8pm during weekdays and 9am – 5pm on weekends. Over 60s can also call the National Booking Service on 119 or use the NATIONAL BOOKING LINK to book an appointment at the large scale Mansfield Vaccination Centre or their nearest pharmacy-led site. The slots available will fluctuate in response to vaccine supply, we would advise that if there is no availability at the site you want to visit, the public should keep checking back each day.

If you are aware of a person over 65, or in a previous cohort that has not received their letter please urge them to book their vaccine as soon as possible.

Message from Amanda Sullivan

Amanda Sullivan, Accountable Officer at NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG, said: “We are pleased to be able to invite everyone who is over the age of 60 forward for their Covid-19 vaccination.

Anyone who is eligible can now book in for their vaccination via the local booking site or by calling 0115 883 4640. I would urge anyone in this category to take up vaccination to help protect themselves against Covid-19.

People in the priority groups which have already been announced have not missed their chance to get jabbed. If you haven’t yet taken up the offer, please do come forward and make an appointment – the vaccine is safe, simple, and will offer you and those around you the best protection against this virus.

“We are making significant progress in vaccinating our most vulnerable and I would like to thank the public for their continued patience with the vaccine roll out.”
