Mental Health Awareness Week 10 - 16 May 2021

One of the things that the Coronavirus Pandemic has reminded us of is our relationship with nature and the importance of the natural environment in our lives.

As we will all admit, the last year has been a real challenge and continues to be so. We have had to adapt from being away from loved ones, come to terms with fears and uncertainties about our health and the health of those we love and cherish, and cope with uncertainties in employment and also with the loneliness and isolation brought by lockdown. Desptite this, we are a pretty resilient lot and many people used lockdown to reconnect with nature.

This week is Mental Health Awareness week and the theme this year is nature and the environment. During the week, check out our website and social media for features on what to do locally and some important tips on the ways that connecting with nature can improve our wellbeing. Don't forget, a new (and free) guided mediation course put on by AVA will start on 2nd June. Click HERE to find out more.
