What is The Chatty Cafe Scheme?

The Chatty Cafe Scheme is the UK’s leading non-profit social enterprise designed to tackle loneliness.

They offer three services designed to reduce loneliness and social isolation.

• Face-to-face meetups. They have Chatter & Natter tables set up in hundreds of venues all over the UK. These meetings allow customers to come together and have a chat. Their chatty table volunteers host many of these gatherings.
• Online Chatty Cafe Sessions. These sessions take place Tuesdays from 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. and are available to anyone over the age of 18 who would like to chat with others.
• Telephone friendship service. This service is for anyone over 18 who is experiencing loneliness and could benefit from a weekly chat on the phone.
