Calling all members of Patient Groups - It's PPG awareness week - your chance to influence what happens at your GP Surgery

PPG Awareness Week runs between 31 May and 6 June 2021 (click HERE for more information). During PPG Awareness Week NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) will be releasing information to PPGs across Mid Nottinghamshire to support the excellent work groups undertake in partnership with their practices. Our first release provides a wealth of information to support PPGs in their work and includes information to help you recruit members to your PPG group, along with tips and other articles.

NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG would value your attendance at a virtual coffee and cake event to celebrate PPGs and reconnect our communities. This will be hosted by David Ainsworth, Mid Nottinghamshire Locality Director and will take place on Friday 4 June 2021 at 4 pm via Microsfoft Teams. The link for the meeting is available here. In addition, a meeting invitation will be circulated. It would be lovely to see as many of you as possible on our screens whether it be from your garden, kitchen or wherever you happen to be with a good internet connection.

Please find below a link to an engagement toolkit for Primary Care Networks, staff, and members of the public wanting to get involved in health and care. The toolkit is a practical guide to help you understand how and when patient and public engagement should take place.

The toolkit provides guidance based on best practice for patient and public engagement and provides lots of information to help you make engagement meaningful.

Within the toolkit you will find links to national guidance as well local information to help you involve local communities in your work.
