POhWER wants to share information about a listening event regarding minor adaptations which local people and voluntary groups who support them may be interested in expressing their views about.
POhWER believes that everyone has a voice and something to say. They support people to get involved by linking them with opportunities to share their experiences. Currently, they would like to hear people’s views about the Handy Person Adaptation Service run by Nottinghamshire County Council. HPAS provides a service for people in Nottinghamshire who are disabled or over 60 and provides free or low-cost, but high-quality essential adaptations and small practical jobs. Nottinghamshire County Council are looking to make changes and improvements to the service and want people’s views about what help is needed with making adaptations to their home.
Are you or your loved one disabled or over 60?
Do you live in the County of Nottinghamshire?
Have you made minor adaptations (such as stair or grab rails) to your home or considered doing so?
Could you spare time to share your views?
People can share their views in different ways:
Come and meet us for a coffee and a chat at The John Godber Centre, Ogle St, Hucknall, Nottingham NG15 7FQ. The event will take place on 20th November from 2pm until 4pm. Please let us know you would like to come by emailing: workingtogether@nottscc.gov.uk
People can speak with myself or my colleague by emailing: coproductionnottingham@pohwer.net (and we will arrange a suitable time to call) or can speak with the Council directly by phoning Agata Cienciala on 0115 804 2378.
Click HERE to access the anonymous online survey or follow the QR code in the attached information.
Any questions about this listening event or co-production in general please do get in touch with me via email or mobile: 07848 005748. Please do share widely as you feel appropriate as we want people to share their views and help improve the service.
Thank you for your time.
