Our Community, Our Way

Through community action CLEO supports areas of Ashfield to become kinder and brighter places to be with residents leading the way.

Community power can look different everywhere. Tell us how you want it to look in your community.

How will we do this?

We don't know, it's down to you.

The whole idea is to put local people in the driving seat and help you to take forward the ideas you want to see happening locally. 

What and where

Two Community Co-ordinators will work across six areas in Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield. These Community Co-ordinators will talk to local people how together we can make our communities better places to live. The first step will be to develop Resident Action Groups so that people can come together to plan what they want to do and decide what community action looks like for them. 

You can be involved as much, or as little as you want, and how you want. Maybe you want your community to be tidier? Perhaps you'd like to organise a litter pick? Want to put on activities for local people or fun things to do for kids? We can help. 

At the moment, we are working with people in Abbey Hill, Greenwood and Summit, and we will be supporting residents in Leamington.
