Health & Wellbeing
Ashfield Voluntary Action works to support the health and wellbeing of people living in Ashfield. We do this in three ways:
- We work alongside NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to support patients and where possible, aim to reduce the barriers different groups may encounter when trying to access services. To find out more about this work click HERE.
- We deliver a wide range of services to enhance people's wellbeing, including activities and peer groups which offer positive support. These groups and activities provide a platform where people sharing similar life experiences and challenges (such as bereavement, loneliness, or caring responsibilities) can get together for mutual support and friendship in a safe and welcoming environment. - We support the voluntary and community sector in Ashfield. This means that we are really well-placed to signpost people to the services that they need. We also work closely with community groups across the district, helping them to develop and improve their service and building relationships to allow services to provide a more holistic and joined-up approach.
