Our work around wellbeing
'Wellbeing' has become a bit of a buzzword, but really it is a good sign that services have recognised the importance of good mental health and wellbeing in our wider health. If some aspects of our life are not going well then it can really affect our health and sense of wellbeing.
Worries about relationships, money, children, job security, health concerns, housing issues can all spread out to impact every aspect of our lives. The services that support our wellbeing and health have come to realise the importance of looking at the 'whole person' in deciding what help will work best.
Ashfield Voluntary Action works in the following ways to support people's wellbeing:
- We provide a wide range of groups, activities and services to support people's wellbeing. For more information about this click HERE.
- We are a infrastructure support organisation helping other community groups in our area. This means we work with local groups helping them to provide activities, groups and services for local people. For more information about the advice, guidance and support we can provide click HERE.
- We work to build relationships, share knowledge, guide people and organisations to the information and support they need when they need it.
- We act as a voice for our community and have the right connections to make sure that feedback is directed to the right place.
