We are fortunate to have four lovely enclosed gardens, with one being attached to our well-equipped garden room. The other three gardens are the; Corridor, Hidden and Reception Gardens at the Health and Wellbeing Centre which are used by our gardening group all year round.
When the weather allows, our green-fingered gardeners enjoy getting outdoors and have done a wonderful job of turning our gardens into a welcoming and beautiful little sanctuaries. These are peaceful and private spaces, with plenty of sheltered areas, and are a haven for local wildlife. It is the perfect place to watch the local bird population; especially our resident robin, and we all enjoy watching the antics of the cheeky squirrels!
When the weather is not fine enough to go outdoors, we have our well-equipped garden room. The perfect place for a cuppa and a chat. We have plenty of gardening magazines and books, so plans can be made for gardening in better weather. We also have a wide-range of games, puzzles and books to keep you busy and there is always a friendly face for a cuppa and chat. Why not come on down and join us?
The gardening group meets on a Thursday afternoon from 1.00pm till 3.00pm and is free of charge. Whether you want to get stuck in, or just surround yourself in a calm and relaxing environment, everyone is welcome. Alternatively, become a Volunteer and visit the gardens any day, for however long you can!
