Our work on Coxmoor and in Hucknall

Ashfield Voluntary Action has been working on the Coxmoor Estate in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, and Butlers Hill and Broomhill in Hucknall for some time. The purpose of our work going forward is to empower these communities and support them in delivering locally developed groups, activities and services.

Earlier stages of our work in these areas focussed on talking to communities, and asking them how they felt about living in these areas. We then spoke to them about groups, activities and services that were currently on offer, and what was missing.

Following on from this, we appointed Samantha Clarke as a Community Development Officer for each of these areas.  Sam's role is to support groups, both new and established, to provide activities, groups and services for people living on Coxmoor, Broomhill and Butlers Hill.

If you would like to chat to Sam about how she can support your group please ring her on 01623 555 551 or email s.clarke@ashfieldvoluntaryaction.org.uk
